VI YOUR Resource!
Welcome to the VI site. Real Volunteers, Real Projects & Real Volunteer Experiences.
So many people around the world volunteer every day to help those who are less fortunate… however as it has become such a global industry generating hundreds of millions of dollars, which in term brings with it the proverbial con artists and those who a quick to take advantage of such willing and generous volunteers.
Our site is designed with one reason and purpose in mind, namely to be a resource for all those who wish to volunteer to have real life feedback and comments on what it is to volunteer, warts and all. Good experiences and bad, pitfalls, cons and scams, great projects, and rip off projects.
This is your recourse! Make use of it, post feedback and comments on your own personal experiences. Things which after the fact you would do differently or things you would not have done… all of this vital personal experience and information may just help save another willing, unwitting volunteer from falling in to a trap or being caught unawares.
That said, just because your personal experience was bad does not necessarily follow for everyone, but we don’t mind. Forewarned is forearmed!!!
Enjoy reading and posting on VI!!!
